VigilVoyage is a route profiling system, designed to effectively aid transit drivers with visual-based route training.  Route training in transit organisations is a costly and time-consuming procedure; new recruits are continuously trained, and the introduction of new routes to a transit system requires even veteran drivers to undergo retraining.

The costs and resources involved can often lead to insufficient route training. This leads drivers to 'blindly' undertake routes, forcing them to learn the 'ins and outs' of each route without any assistance.  Inadequate route training leads to delays, schedule problems and customer dissatisfaction.

VigilVoyage works in conjunction with the VigilVanguard driver training system to construct maps, providing relevant information on each transit route.  Through VigilVoyage software, driver trainers can add special custom features and comments to route maps, turning each route into an interactive training unit.

This design will teach drivers the routes in an effective and timely manner, allowing important route areas to be highlighted and explicitly discussed.

Drivers gain a thorough understanding of the routes they are required to drive.  Reviewing a particular route as a whole can be an ineffective and time-consuming process.  VigilVoyage allows trainers and drivers to focus on key points of the route that require specific attention, such as problematic stretches of road, areas of caution, suitable rest stops, or any other issues deemed relevant to that particular route.
